Roscoe Pound was Dean of the Harvard Law School from 1916 to 1936. He came to Chicago to teach law, first at Northwestern from 1907-1909, and then at the University of Chicago from 1909-1910. Pound was a legendary American jurist and earned an international reputation. Pound Hall at the Harvard Law School is named for him. He joined the Club in 1910 and remained a member until his death in 1964.
